On Wednesday 3rd September, members of Waterside Miners Charitable Society were enormously grateful for the opportunity to make new connections and share news of our Waterside Community Hub project with potential hub users at GRACE Sharing Time.
We talked about past events and activities at the former Waterside Miners Club and Waterside Subscription School and about how much the wider area needs a hub to get community life back on track, whether for events, socials, exercise, training, drama, consultations, counselling, crafts or catch-ups over coffee.
What a lovely, supportive atmosphere with new friends and old over delicious sandwiches (from Hillhead Community Centre’s Small Talk Cafe) while picking up ideas!
