Today was the Festival of Clubs at Kirkintilloch Town Hall: a chance for groups to recruit new members. Two representatives of the Waterside Community Hub project were there, along with beekeepers, drama clubs, Rotarians, choristers, artists and trumpeters…
On our corner stand was a slide show by local historian and photographer Edward Z. Smith, showing the many bustling events and activities that went on in Waterside when there were still places to hold them. These will be able to flourish again once Waterside Community Hub is built.
