On 18 March, as lions were doubtless still roaring in and lambs readying themselves to emerge, the charity’s focus was on its 4th annual general meeting – an exciting milestone – as well as on ducks, bunnies and rocks.

The stalwart office bearers/trustees of the last three years were voted in again, but with major focuses this year being recruitment and awareness-raising (along with fundraising), the charitable society is looking forward to welcoming new faces and fresh ideas as it embraces the future.

As for the ducks, bunnies and rocks, the charity is preparing for the Waterside Easter Duck Race on 21 April, while the Eco-Museum for Scottish Mining Landscapes is digging out some colourful pebbles for a family-friendly Waterside rock trail celebrating our mining history.
